Baby’s Healthy Eating Extravaganza

What did my 2 year old, baby girl, Luna eat today?  More like, what didn’t she eat today!  … All food is organic.

1- Upon waking (6:45 a.m.), Luna opened the fridge door and pulled out the hummus and carrots.  She ate 3 baby carrots with the hummus.  She drinks diluted chamomile throughout the day.

2 – Then she went back to the fridge and pulled out my Ezekial bread and wanted it toasted with a drizzle of olive oil.  She ate most of the slice.

3 – One hard boiled egg followed along with 1 cup of blueberries.

4 – Off to work I went (7:45 a.m.) … With Grandma (Nanni), Luna continued her morning grazing on 1 1/2 cups organic rolled oats with chia seeds, flax seeds, and 1 tablespoon cooked apple. Usually around 8:30 a.m.

5 – Around 10 a.m. Luna drinks 1 cup of my homemade cashew milk

NAP TIME 10:30ish – 1:00ish

6 – It’s now around 1:30pm when Luna eats lunch.  1 cup broccoli, 1/2 cup black bean pasta, 1/2 turkey meatball, 1 cup swiss chard, 1/2 cup baked sweet potato bites.  

7 –  2:45 p.m. headed to WholeFoods.  Snacks on 1 cup of fresh blueberries I froze… Yes, she loves frozen fruit! 

8 – While in Whole Foods, Luna snacks on Brads Raw Kale Chips. 

9 – 5:30 p.m. Bathtime –  Luna asks for frozen banana.  Ate 1/2 of one. Yes, she likes to snack in the tub!!! I know, really?!

10 – 6:20 p.m Dinnertime – 1 1/2 cups of escarole & navy beans, 1/2 cup lentils, 1 cup broccoli, 1/2 cup spinach, 1 whole pear.

11 – 7:30 p.m. Luna grazes on some raw cashews

Yes, my little bottomless pit EATS.  Sometimes she eats a lot more than today.
