Luna’s Breakfast Appetizer

Mornings, Luna has a breakfast feast that starts around 7am and ends around 10am.  Today, Luna started with ORGANIC strawberries and blueberries. Please make sure that you buy these berries organic because conventional ones contain very high amounts of pesticides! Conventional strawberries are ranked amongst the highest!  

Blueberries are one of the healthiest, most powerful foods you can eat. They contain one of the highest antioxidant capacities amongst fruits, vegetables, spices and seasonings. Both strawberries and blueberries contribute to improved brain and nervous system function, fight heart disease, regulate blood sugar, fight many types of cancer, fight free radicals, reduce inflammation.  They are a great course of vitamin C, manganese, fiber, copper, folate and much more!

 

** BABIES**

– Blend fresh organic blueberries and serve OR chill in fridge for 15 minutes and its JELLO!  This can be given around 7 months.

– It is highly recommended that you DO NOT give a baby under ONE year strawberries.  It is categorized as a high allergy baby food.  Why you ask? There is a protein in strawberries that can cause an allergic reaction in the developing baby’s body.  There’s a secret here though – you can cook the strawberries to break down the protein and destroyed it, making them safe for your baby to eat.
